RESEARCH RESULTS

OVERVIEW

Since our inception in 1978, Breast Cancer Trials has contributed to more than 1,228 publications and many of these research results have changed practice in the treatment and prevention of breast cancer.

The publication of the results of clinical trials research in scientific journals or a periodic publication fulfills the researchers ethical obligations to research participants and the general community, and it also contributes to medical knowledge for the benefit and treatment of patients.

A number of new publications in the reporting period, which answered important scientific questions, are expected to translate into improved outcomes for women.

The results highlight our unique collaboration at Breast Cancer Trials (BCT) between researchers, clinical trial participants and our generous supporters. This collaboration means new and better treatments can be found sooner.

BCT contributed to 33 publications in 2021/22, which consisted of:

  • 14 journal/epub publications in peer reviewed journals;
  • 1 presentation at an annual conference; and
  • 18 Abstracts/Posters.
