Breast Cancer Trials is a world-leading research charity, dedicated to conducting the highest quality clinical trials research, that aims to save lives and improve treatments for breast cancer.
Our researchers support patients with breast cancer every day and our aim is to develop the best possible treatments for every individual, so they have the greatest chance of long‑term cure.
It’s a bold mission, but through our unique collaboration of researchers, trial participants and generous supporters, we will continue our important work so that every person diagnosed or at risk of breast cancer, is able to live a healthy, full and long life.
There are 835 researchers, including oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists and nurses, who are involved in the conduct of the BCT research program.
Our research program brings together 109 institutions in Australia and New Zealand, as well as 62 sites in Chile, Spain, Switzerland and Taiwan.
Since 1978, 16,832 people have participated in our clinical trials, to help us find new and better treatments for breast cancer.
We have contributed to 1,228 scientific publications, which are advancing medical knowledge and improving treatments and prevention strategies for breast cancer.
